Donald Fraser

Family Law Practitioner

T: 01277 500169 | E: dsf@austenjonessolicitors.co.uk

Donald has been in practice as a family law practitioner since first being admitted as a solicitor in 1993. He has since practised in Essex and in East London in the County Court, Magistrates Court and now the Family Court – a period spanning some 23 years.

Donald originally qualified as a barrister but transferred to become a solicitor, having worked previously in the City in finance.

His approach is to provide clients with the kind of pragmatic advice which allows them to resolve matters without the need for extensive – and potentially expensive – litigation. Throughout their cases, Donald uses his wealth of knowledge and practical experience to ensure his client’s position is presented robustly and without fear or favour.

In the event that litigation becomes a necessity, then he is happy to be an advocate at Directions Hearings, Financial Dispute Resolution Hearings and all matters up to but not including Final Hearings.

Donald is a Resolution-accredited specialist in Complex Financial Remedies Part 1 and Domestic Abuse and also has a practice in Private Children Act cases, regularly dealing with child arrangement orders, prohibited steps orders and specific issue orders.

Donald’s goal is always to provide a friendly and professional service to clients in order to achieve their objectives.

Outside of work, he is a member of the Law Society Art Group and one day may even dare to exhibit his work.
